Also in the lower part is the year of coinage in the form of a horizontal inscription "2011".

The Chicaso National Recreation Area was named after a large Indian tribe who was resettled in the 19th century to the lands of Oklahoma. It was here that the Indians of Chikaso discovered an area with a lot of sulfuric, mineral and fresh springs, calling it the "Peaceful Valley of Turgling Water". Fearing that the curative waters would fall into private hands, the Indians sold 640 acres of land to the federal government on condition that the recreational park was formed.

In 1902, the territory of Chikaso was declared a reserve, four years later received an additional area. In 1976, the recreational zone was formed finally, adding areas around the artificial lake Arbakl. Here it was possible to preserve the original flora and fauna, the unique diversity of which in Chikaso is due to the neighborhood of the eastern deciduous forests and the western American prairies.

The recreation area covers an area of 40 square meters. Km, the fourth part of which is covered with water. Lakes, streams and waterfalls create enchanting landscapes and offer opportunities for water sports: swimming, rafting, boating, canoeing, water skiing and others. All year round fishing is allowed on lakes, as well as hunting for quails, turkeys, ducks, geese.

The park offers opportunities for horse riding, hiking, bicycle rides, accommodation of tent camps. There are golf courses, picnic pavilions, beaches, drinking galleries at the sources. Many of the buildings and architectural structures of the 30s of the XX century are preserved here, the visiting card of the park is the limestone Lincoln Bridge, built in 1909.

Today, the main staff of the recreational area are the descendants of the Chickasaw Indians, according to their arrangement with the government, a visit to the park is free of charge
