25 cents 2017 37th National Historic Site of Frederick Douglas

25 cents (quater) of 2017 from the National Parks series is the 37th National Historic Site of Frederick Douglas, District of Columbia.

Obverse: In the center of the coin is a portrait of President George Washington to the left (shown in the restored version of the original portrait, used since 1932 on coin-kvarterah). Above the semicircular name of the issuing country: UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, in the semicircle the value of the coin is written - QUARTER DOLLAR. To the left of the portrait the word LIBERTY (FREEDOM) is minted, on the right in several lines - IN GOD WE TRUST (WE BELIEVE IN GOD) and the letter of the mint.

Reverse: in the central part of the coin field, an image of the artist is presented, against the backdrop of his house. Semicircular inscriptions:
In the upper part - "FREDERICK DOUGLASS" (Frederick Douglas);
At the bottom - "DISTRIKT OF COLUMBIA" (District of Columbia) and "E PLURIBUS UNUM" (the motto of the United States - many of them are the same).
Also in the lower part is the year of coinage in the form of a horizontal inscription "2017".

Frederick Douglas is an American writer, enlightener, abolitionist, editor, speaker, leader of the Negro Liberation Movement.

The coin is dedicated to the house of the Frederick Douglas Museum.
