"Mir" is the second coin from the series "Children and Solidarity", which will be released between 2016 and 2020.

Obverse: In the center of the coin depicts two children holding the flag of the country, and the dove, as a symbol of peace, above them. Below the edge of the inner ring, the name of the issuing country was minted: "MALTA". On the right along the edge of the inner ring is the year of coinage: "2017". On the outer ring are the twelve stars of the European Union.

Reverse: In the center on the right is a map of Europe with a horizontal inscription "EURO". The map of Europe is depicted on top of six vertical lines symbolizing stability; at the ends of these lines there are stars (12 stars in all - one for each end of the line, symbolizing the 12 founding countries of the eurozone). The sign on the left side is the number symbol of the face value - 2. The sign of the designer Luc Luycx - the two crossing letters L (LL) resembling the figure 4 are located on the right in the center under the letter "O" of the word EURO).
