Finland. 5 euro 2016 year. The fourth president of Finland, Kyösti Kallio, who held the post from 1937 to 1940,
Obverse: the portrait of the fourth president of Finland is depicted. Above, along the edge of the coin, will be engraved inscriptions - "KYÖSTI KALLIO", "1873-1940".
Reverse: The silhouette of an open book depicts the urban and rural landscape in a stylized way. On the edge of the coin there are engraved inscriptions: on the left - "SUOMI", at the top - "FINLAND", on the right - "2016", at the bottom - "5 EURO". On the coin there is a letter "L" - a sign of designer Tero Lounas (Tero Lounas), and a trademark of the Mint of Finland.
In the history of the struggle for independence of Finland Kallio played one of the key roles. He headed the agricultural commission first in the Senate under the chairmanship of Oscar Tokoy, followed by Per Evind Svinhuvud and Juho Kusti Paasikivi.
During the civil war, Callio strongly condemned the violent methods of the Reds and was forced to hide while in the Helsinki-controlled red. However, after the war ended, he called for refraining from mass repressive retaliation measures. His speech at the church in Nivala on May 5, 1918 attracted much attention. He became the first known white politician who demanded immediately to start building a single Finland in which "there are neither red nor white, but there are only Finns who love their country, citizens of the Republic of Finland who feel themselves members of society and feel good here."
