Martin Van Buren is the eighth president of the United States and the first born in the independent States. He ruled the country from 1837 to 1841. Buren - the only one of the presidents, having as their native language is not English. Born in New York State Dutch settlement in 1782.

However, the fruits of success failed to take advantage, in the next elections won by the candidate of the Whig Party gained strength.

After the defeat he returned to his estate, but for a long time involved in the party and political life in old age began to write the biography, which has not had time to finish. He died in his own estate in Kinderhuke the age of 80.
