The president almost did not show initiative, and she went to Congress. tariff plan "Bill McKinley" was adopted in 1890. Spending on pensions reached the highest in the history of the US total.

The foreign policy pursued the goal of improving the global US influence, the formation of the Navy, the construction of new naval bases, increasing the trading fleet. These years were marked by clashes with Canada, the Baltimore crisis in Chile, problems with Hawaii. US territory has increased by 6 new states.

For the victory at the next election Harrison did not fight and, after leaving the White House, he returned to Indianapolis, where he soon died of pneumonia. Benjamin Harrison was a symbol of a bygone era - the last chapter of the United States, who wore a beard. But he was the first president whose voice is recorded on phonograph. A new era has declared itself, and the advent of electricity in the White House.
