Stephen Grover Cleveland is the only president of the United States, received a double numbering (22 and 24) in the traditional list. Three times in a row in the election to vote evolved in its favor, but due to the nature of the electoral system the victory went to him only twice.

Steven Grover was born in 1837 in the pastor's family, he learned the craft of a Lawyer. On the political Olympus moved, as a lawyer in New York. He worked at the post of mayor of Buffalo and governor of New York State.

Cleveland's first presidential election in 1884 is considered one of the most unscrupulous in history. Acute opposition Democrats and Republicans led to a search for mutual compromising. In order to repay the obscene controversy Cleveland acknowledged paternity of the previously given away for adoption a child born out of wedlock.

In the elections of 1892 (second term) Candidate Cleveland was already known supporter antiprotectionist policy and confidently took the majority of votes. The success of his program was provided predominantly Democratic Congress composition. However, it plans to prevent the economic crisis and massive unemployment. The depreciation of silver coins has led to a strong demand for gold and a sharp reduction in the state's gold reserves. In such circumstances, the law on holding rates became impossible.

Cleveland foreign policy is evaluated as an independent and anti-imperialist. The Head of State tried not to stir up conflict, but held the view that the US is on the same continent practically sovereign, and the "word", there should be a law. In 1896, the State has replenished the state of Utah.

After leaving the White House in 1897, Cleveland participated in the Board of Trustees of the University of Princeton. He died in June 1908.
