Richard Nixon (Richard Milhous Nixon) - 37th President of the United States of America (1969-1974), 36th US vice president (1953-1961). Born on January 9, 1913 in California. In 1942 he received an offer to work for the federal government, Richard Nixon and his wife moved to Washington. During the Second World War he served in the naval forces of the United States. In 1946 he was elected to the US House of Representatives from California, and in 1950 to the Senate. After the presidential election in 1952, won by Dwight D. Eisenhower, Nixon holds the post of vice-president. After eight years in this chair, in 1960, Richard Nixon was involved in the presidential election, but inferior to John F. Kennedy.
