Imatrankoski HPP combines the power of nature and the wonder of the miracle of engineering.
Imatrankoski is the oldest tourist attraction in Finland.
The coin was issued by the Mint of Finland, September 13, 2013. At the same time it was released one more:

On spillway Imatrankoski (Imatrankoski), on the river Vuoksi, it is the largest hydroelectric power plant in Finland. Construction of hydroelectric power station started here in 1922, soon after independence from Russia.
