More info

1 Sacagawea (Indian) Dollar, Native Americans in the US Army. 2021

The 1 US dollar coin from the "Native American Dollar" series (indigenous peoples or Sacagawea) is dedicated to the American Indians who serve and have served in the US Armed Forces.
Native Americans have served in the United States Armed Forces in every conflict this country has been involved in since the Revolutionary War! They took part in World Wars I and II. Therefore, it was not without reason that they received recognition for their service, including five medals of honor during World War II. Their exemplary military service record continues to this day.

Obverse: Child-holding portrait of Sacagawea, a Shoshone girl who helped the Lewis and Clark Expedition. Top: Liberty, left: In God We Trust, right: year of issue and mint mark.

Reverse: two eagle feathers are depicted, which were traditionally obtained in battle or when performing a brave feat. Eagle feathers are revered and respected, given the utmost care and should be proudly displayed in the homes of heroes! The stars minted in the foreground represent the five branches of the American army, while the circle provides additional reinforcement in the form of Native Americans.

Edge: Smooth with inscription (* In God We Trust * E Pluribus Unum * year of minting and mint stamp).
