The coin is 10 rubles, the Kursk in a series of City of Military Glory (WAN) released on June 30, 2011.

After the defeat of German forces at Stalingrad 1942-43gg and during the winter offensive of the Soviet troops the city of Kursk February 8, 1943 was freed from occupation. The Battle of Kursk lasted for 50 days from July 5 to August 23, 1943. From 5 to 12 July, our troops were defending the Kursk salient.
