Giant evening party (lat. Nyctalus lasiopterus) is a mammal of the order of bats. It belongs to the family of smooth-bats. It is the largest bat in Europe and Russia. View listed in the Red Book.
The giant evening party is a rather rare species, but it can still be found in different parts of Russia. A man does not bring a giant party woman direct harm. However, it is worth a closer look and try to love this animal, so that tomorrow it would not have to spend energy to restore the number of species. After all, the main factors that threaten the existence of the barn are the destruction of the natural habitats of the species, the use of toxic chemicals in the fight against the insects that feed on this bat, and the general pollution of ecosystems.
In Russia, a gigantic evening party can be found in the Orenburg, Moscow and Nizhny Novgorod regions, as well as in the Transcaucasus. Its elements are spaces of Russian broadleaf and mixed forests.
This bat is called an evening because it likes to hunt in the evening twilight or just before dawn on gapered butterflies and beetles. During the year she does not sit in one place, and she goes in search of a place for wintering, while she makes quite long migrations. However, where are these places, yet no one has seen.
