The Perth Australian Mint has produced Spock Star Trek coins for Tuvalu.
Spock is a character in the science-fiction television series Star Trek: The Original Series, the animated series Star Trek: The Animated Series, and some episodes of the television series Star Trek: The Next Generation.
Spock was originally conceived as a Martian. His skin was supposed to be red and he had to absorb electricity. But they decided to refuse this, having decided that a more humane character would be more interesting to the audience. They also abandoned the Martian roots of Spock. The creators of the series believed that the expeditions that began on Mars would make this origin unscientific.
Spock is the only character to take part not only in all 79 episodes of Star Trek: The Original Series, but also in the pilot series Cell.
