Ukraine. 5 hryvnia in 2017. 85 years of Vinnytsia region, from the "Region of Ukraine" series.

It is dedicated to the pearl of Podillya, located in the forest-steppe zone within the Podil Upland. The region is famous for its numerous monuments of archeology, history, architecture and town-planning. These lands are inextricably linked with the Cossacks. It was here that one of the first Cossack detachments was formed, the insurgent, Haidamak movement was widely deployed. Vinnytsia region is rich in mineral resources. In its interior 1159 deposits of minerals are discovered: granite, kaolin, garnet, fluorite, phosphorites and others. Developed and used healing springs of mineral water, in particular with a high radon content in Khmelnik.
