Struve Geodetic Arc - a network of 265 points of triangulation (embedded in the ground stone cubes) length of more than 2820 km. The arc 10 passes through Europe and used for determining the parameters of the Earth, its shape and size. Named after its creator, a prominent Russian astronomer Friedrich Struve. Items arc can today be found in Russia, Ukraine, Moldova, Belarus, Latvia, Lithuania, Estonia, Finland, Norway and Sweden. Struve Geodetic Arc included in the Unesco World Heritage Site.
Obverse: at the top of the small State Emblem of Ukraine, to the left in a semicircle engraved - "Ukraine", under which the coin minting Set year - "2016". At the bottom of the obverse in two lines marked face value - "5 UAH" logo is the Mint of the National Bank of Ukraine. In the background there is a mirror geodetic device theodolite, which is visible to the right of schematic triangulation and names of the countries through which the arc of Struve - "NORVEGІYA, SHVETSІYA, FІNLYANDІYA, OOO Russian Federation, ESTONІYA, LATVІYA, LITHUANIA, BІLORUS, UKRAINE, MOLDOVA".
Reverse: on the mirror background portrait of Struve, the right of which a semicircle engraved inscription: "geodesic Struve Geodetic Arc", "1816 - 1855" (the years during which the measurements were made). To the left of the portrait is stylized composition: against the background of a geographical map shows the arc of Struve and the inscriptions - "FUGLENES", "2822 km" (above) and "old NEKRASІVKA" (below).
