10 rubles 60 Years of Victory in the Great Patriotic War of 2005 SPMD

In 2005, the Russian people are celebrating 60 years of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War. Victory Day is traditionally celebrated on May 9th. Joy and sorrow, grief and euphoria infused in the soul of the people during this holiday. Great victory came at great cost. More than 14 million Soviet citizens did not return to their families, remained on the battlefield. About 11 thousand people died a horrible death in the German concentration camps. Another 4,500 were captured by the Nazis, many of which are not only able to save their lives. Among the civilians were millions dead. Only one survived the Leningrad blockade is not more than 800 thousand citizens.

Heavy were the times and the people who stayed in the rear of the battle. Their heroic work on the edge of its capabilities, to the front of ammunition and military equipment, uniforms and food. Their contribution to the victory over fascism is on a par with the courage and heroism of the guerrillas and the valiant soldiers of the Red Army.

Thanks to the courage and dedication, labor and military feats of our grandparents, our parents and children live under the peaceful skies of their homeland.

The reverse in the center is an image of the eternal flame in the form of a five-pointed stars on a background of a stylized St George's ribbon, which is the number "60", lower - the dates "1941-1945." At the edge of the circle at the top of the ring - the inscription: "No one is forgotten, nothing is forgotten" at the bottom - the image of a laurel branch, which fades to disk.
