The coin was issued by the Mint of Finland, May 7, 2013. At the same time it was released two more:
Actually Finland. Turku Cathedral;
Satakunta. The necropolis of the Bronze Age Sammalahdenmyaki.

Lighthouse on the island Selsker (Sälskär), in the archipelago of Åland was built in 1868. The lighthouse was damaged by a storm in 1894, and ten years later the tower was reinforced with steel cables. The height of the lighthouse is 30 meters, while the light is lit at the height of 44 meters. Light lighthouse in good weather conditions seen at a distance of 12 kilometers.
