The Transnistrian Moldovan Republic or Transnistria is an unrecognized state on the left and right banks of the Dniester. The international community is recognized as part of Moldova.

The State Customs Committee of the Pridnestrovskaia Moldavskaia Respublika is a republican public administration body that is part of the structure of central executive bodies as an independent agency with the status of a ministry. Formed on September 8, 1992 in accordance with the Decree of the Supreme Council of the Pridnestrovskaia Moldavskaia Respublika

The main tasks of the State Customs Committee of Transnistria are the organization and improvement of the customs business in the DMR, as well as the protection of the economic sovereignty and economic security of the republic.

The caduceus, or kerikion, is the staff of the heralds among the Greeks and Romans. The name of the staff of Hermes (Mercury), who had the ability to reconcile. Similar symbols were common among other ancient peoples. Like the modern parliamentary flag, it was a necessary attribute of the heralds sent to the enemy camp, and the guarantee of their inviolability.

The image of the caduceus as an attribute of the god of trade is traditionally used in the symbols of the Chambers of Commerce and Industry of several countries of the world, including Russia.

Since the XIX century. and up to now crossed caduceuses have been used as a customs emblem in a number of countries, incl. in Russia and Transnistria.

Currently, the caduceus is one of the heraldic symbols of arbitration courts and the tax service in Russia and a number of other countries.

In the heraldry, the caduceus was used in the historical arms of the following cities of the Russian Empire and Russia: the Balts, Verkhneudinsk, Yeniseisk, Irbit, Nezhin, Novozybkov, Taganrog, Telshov, Tiflis, Ulan-Ude, Feodosia, Kharkov, Berdichev, Talnogo, Zelenodolsk.

Obverse: in the center - an image of the state emblem of the Pridnestrovskaia Moldavskaia Respublika; on the circle there are inscriptions: at the top "THE TRANSNISTRIAN REPUBLICAN BANK", at the bottom - the year of issue of the coin "2017"; in the lower part under the coat of arms - denomination "1 ruble".

Reverse: in the center - the image of two crossed caduceus, which is an element of the emblem of the customs authorities of the DMR, above it - the inscription "25 YEARS TO THE CUSTOMS AUTHORITIES OF TMR"; below - the inscription "2017", the image of the laurel branch.
