The modified banknote has the format, color and design of the plot, similar to the Bank of Russia banknote of 1997.

On the front side of the modified bill, the right of the embossed characters for the visually impaired is the text "MODIFICATION, 2004", which is located vertically.

Banknotes modification 2004 have the following main differences:

in protective paper fibers introduced four types - red, light green, two-color;
in paper introduced metallized diving protective thread;
present box with hidden moire stripes (MVC);
digital denomination printed gray paint;
banknote image in the ultraviolet and infrared light have a difference from the specimen banknote 1997 year.
