Finland. 5 euro 2017 year. The sixth president of Finland Karl Gustav Emil Mannerheim, who held the post from 1944 to 1946.

Karl Gustav Emil Mannerheim is a baron, a Finnish military and statesman of Swedish descent, a general from the Finnish Army cavalry, a field marshal (May 19, 1933), a marshal of Finland (only as an honorary title) (June 4, 1942), regent of the Kingdom of Finland from December 12, 1918 on June 26, 1919.

Mannerheim is the most famous war hero in Finland. He was president of the country from August 4, 1944 to March 11, 1946 and led the country during the transition from war to peace. Before that, he served in the Russian army, where he rose to the rank of general. Later, during the Second World War, he was commander in chief of the Finnish troops. During the siege of Leningrad led the Finnish troops, fighting on the side of Hitler. Closer to the end of the Second World War, he took over as president of Finland, which no military leader did before or after his reign.

Obverse: a portrait of the sixth president of Finland is depicted. Above, along the edge of the coin, inscriptions are engraved: the politician's name is "Carl Gustaf Emil Mannerheim" and his years of life are "1876-1951".

Reverse: depicts the silhouette of an open book on which the urban and rural landscape is stylized. Along the edge of the coin are engraved inscriptions: on the left - "SUOMI", at the top - "FINLAND", on the right - "2017", at the bottom - "5 EURO". On the coin there is a letter "L" - a sign of designer Tero Lounas (Tero Lounas), and a trademark of the Mint of Finland.
