Transnistria. 1 ruble 2024. Iris Pontica.

The Pridnestrovian Republican Bank introduced into circulation a commemorative coin with a face value of 1 ruble made of steel with nickel plating “Iris Pontica” of the “Red Book of Transnistria” series.

Iris Pontica is included in the Red Book of Transnistria under the status of “Endangered”. In general, irises are a genus of perennial plants found on all continents. Exotic flowers can come in all shapes and colors - there are about 800 species of irises.

Obverse: in the center - the image of the State Emblem of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic; in a circle – inscriptions: at the top – “PRIDNISTRIAN REPUBLICAN BANK”, at the bottom – the year of issue of the coin “2024”; in the lower part under the coat of arms - the denomination “1 RUBLE”.

Reverse: in the center – an image of an iris pontica against the background of an open book; in a circle - inscriptions: top left - “IRIS PONTICA”, right - “IRIS PONTICA”.
