25 rubles 2021. 60 years of the first manned space flight

The Moscow Mint of Goznak (MMD) issued a coin with a face value of 25 rubles in 2021: "60 years of the first manned flight into space".

On April 12, 1961, the Vostok-1 spacecraft with Yuri Gagarin on board was launched from the Baikonur cosmodrome into near-Earth orbit. The flight of the first cosmonaut marked the breakthrough of mankind into outer space.

Obverse: in the center - a relief image of the State Emblem of the Russian Federation, above it along the edge - the inscription in a semicircle: "RUSSIAN FEDERATION", framed on both sides by double rhombuses, under the coat of arms in the center in three lines - the inscription: "BANK OF RUSSIA", coin denomination: "25 RUBLES", year of issue: "2021", on the right - a trademark of the Mint.

Reverse: a relief image of a flying figure of a man with wings against a stylized image of a starry sky; there are inscriptions, at the top along the inner circumference: "APRIL 12, 1961", on the ring: "60 YEARS OF THE FIRST HUMAN FLIGHT IN SPACE".

The circulation of this coin is 850 thousand pieces.
