2 euro 2022 "Giovanni Falcone and Paolo Borsellino". The commemorative coin is dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the death of Giovanni Falcone and Paolo Borsellino, two implacable fighters against organized crime in Italy who died in the line of duty.

Giovanni Falcone (May 18, 1939 - May 23, 1992) and Paolo Borsellino (January 19, 1940 - July 19, 1992) Italian ministers of Themis. Although many of their childhood friends grew up with the mafia, both men fought on the other side of the war as prosecutors. Both have spent most of their professional lives trying to overthrow the power of the Sicilian mafia. After a long and distinguished career that culminated in the Maxi trial in 1986-1987. They were both killed in 1992 within a few months of each other. On May 23, 1992, Falcone was killed by the Corleonesi mafia during an explosion in Capaci, on the A29 motorway near the city of Capaci, and on July 19, 1992, Borsellino was already killed by a car bomb on Via D'Amelio, near his mother's house in Palermo.
In recognition of their tireless efforts and self-sacrifice during the anti-mafia trials, they were both awarded the Italian medal "Medaglia d'oro al valore civile" (Gold Medal for Civic Valor)

Obverse: Portrait of two Italian magistrates Giovanni Falcone and Paolo Borsellino, inspired by a photograph by Toni Gentile. At the top, the inscription "FALCONE - BORSELLINO"; then the dates "1992 2022", which correspond to the year of the assassination of the magistrates and the year of issue of the coin and in which the sad anniversary is celebrated, between the dates the abbreviation of the Italian Republic "RI"; on the right is the letter "R" of the Roman mint; on the left "VdS", the initials of the author, Valerio de Seta. The twelve stars of the European Union, as always on coins of this type, are depicted on the outer ring.

Reverse: the map of Europe is located on the right side. There are six vertical lines on the background of the map. At the ends of these lines there are 12 stars. To the left of the card there is a numerical designation of the face value. On the card itself there is a horizontal inscription "EURO".
