Maria Alexandra Victoria of Edinburgh (born Marie Alexandra Victoria of Edinburgh), married and widowed, was known as Maria Romanian (Roman: Maria a României; October 29, 1875, Eastwell Park - July 18, 1938, Pelishor Castle) - British princess; daughter of Alfred, Duke of Edinburgh and Saxe-Coburg-Gotha, and Grand Duchess Maria Alexandrovna. On the father - the granddaughter of Queen Victoria, on the mother - Emperor Alexander II. In marriage - the last queen of Romania.

Obverse: In the center of the coin field, King Ferdinand I and Queen Maria in the form of a nurse are shown during a visit to the Romanian troops on the battlefield during the First World War. The name of the issuing country is minted in a semicircle: “ROMANIA”, under which the nominal value of the coin is placed: “50”. In the lower part is the coat of arms of Romania, which divides the year the coin was put into circulation in two parts - “20/19”.

Reverse: In the center is a portrait of Maria Romanian to the right. Above, in a semicircle along the edging, her name is engraved: “REGINA MARIA”.
