The obverse: in the center - the image of the State Emblem of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic; along the rim - inscriptions: at the top, "the Transnistrian Republican Bank", at the bottom - the year of issue "2015"; at the bottom under the arms - the denomination "1 ruble."

Reverse: in the center shows the Cathedral of the Transfiguration of the Lord. Above him in a semicircle engraved - "Cathedral of Transfiguration in Bendery." "1815-2015" - the inscription is left.

Transfiguration Cathedral in Bender (Transnistria) - Orthodox church of the Diocese of Tiraspol and Dubossary Moldavian Church (ROC).

The story of the Transfiguration Cathedral leads the countdown to 1814, when the engineering bosses Bendery fortress begins to work on Pushing the city from the fort with 250 yards to the south to create a fortress esplanade. In its territory of the Assumption and St. Nicholas Church, because of its decrepitude, when transferring collapsed, and that led to the adoption of the decision to build on the site of the ruins of the Turkish barracks of the new church dedicated to the Transfiguration.

August 22, 1815, during a military parade in the presence of the citizens, the laying of the Transfiguration Cathedral as a symbol of the liberation of Bessarabia from the Turkish yoke. The temple project was prepared by a member of the spiritual dicastery Kishinev Archimandrite Ioaniky, and assumed in the cathedral three chapels: Nicholas (left) and the Assumption (right), named in memory of the destroyed churches and Transfiguration (central).

Nicholas chapel was consecrated on December 5, 1819. The same day, the parishioners raised money for the consecration of the Assumption, which was held on December 19 of the same year. In 1820, the construction works have been completed and in the Transfiguration chapel.
