The "Resolutions" sloop was built in 1770 at the shipyard in Deptford, but first got the name "Drake", but a year later it was renamed to the name you already know. Thus, just as in its time and "Endeavor", the destiny of the "Resolution" ship was changed by none other than the navigator James Cook.

After he had faithfully served his captain on the second expedition of Cook and in the third expedition of Cook (alas from the third expedition James Cook had not returned), the ship was converted into an armed transport and in the first quarter of 1781 was transferred to the East Indies. At the beginning of June, on the 9th of the year 1782, the Resolution sailing ship was captured by the French and sent to the port of Manila, where the crew was required to use force to replenish the missing part of the ship's crew. After the order was executed, he left the port on July 22nd and no one else heard about it.
