The second coin 1 sol of 2017 from the Fauna of Peru series - the Ostroryly crocodile (Crocodylus acutus)

The crocodile Tumbes (Crocodylus acutus) or the American crocodile is the only thing species of the crocodiles living on the northern coast of Peru between basins of the Tumbes and Zarumilla Rivers. He can reach up to 6 meters in length and weigh up to 500 kg. Has key value for maintenance of structure of ecosystems of the area of dwelling as helps to control excessive increase in other types.

Reverse: in the central part in an octahedron the ostroryly crocodile on a surface of the water is represented. At the left the scientific name in Latin is vertically written: "Crocodylus acutus". In the top part in two lines the name of a coin in Spanish - "COCODRILO DE TUMBES" is engraved. In the lower part on the center coin face value – "1 SOL" and a logo of the coin program - a humming-bird bird is designated. To the right of the image there is a geometrical design of vertical lines with the sign of mint.

Obverse: in the center of a coin the coat of arms of Peru surrounded with the words "BANCO CENTRAL DE RESERVA DEL PERÚ" year of release of 2017.
