Commemorative coin 14 of the Sacagawea series, denomination of 1 dollar 2022 - Eli Samuel Parker, US Army officer. This coin pays tribute to Eli Samuel Parker, US Army officer, engineer and diplomat for the Tonawanda Seneca tribe who served as Ulysses S. Grant's secretary of war during the American Civil War. He is best known for his role in drafting the terms of surrender that ended the American Civil War.

Obverse: Child-holding portrait of Sacagawea, a Shoshone girl who helped the Lewis and Clark Expedition. Top: Liberty, left: In God We Trust, right: year of issue and mint mark.

Reverse: close-up of Eli Samuel Parker in army uniform with pen and book, and close-up on the left we see the image of his signature as symbols of his skill as a diplomat and orator.

Edge: Smooth with inscription (* In God We Trust * E Pluribus Unum * year of minting and mint stamp).
