25 cents (quater) 2011 from the series National Parks - 8th National Park Olympic State of Washington.

Obverse: In the center of the coin is a portrait of President George Washington to the left (shown in the restored version of the original portrait, used since 1932 on coin-kvarterah). Above the semicircular name of the issuing country: UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, in the semicircle the value of the coin is written - QUARTER DOLLAR. To the left of the portrait the word LIBERTY (FREEDOM) is minted, on the right in several lines - IN GOD WE TRUST (WE BELIEVE IN GOD) and the letter of the mint.

Reverse: in the central part of the coin field, against the backdrop of the classic view of Mount Olympus, there is an image of an Olympic deer (Roosevelt deer) standing near the Hoch River. Near the edge of the coin a semicircular inscription:
At the top - "OLYMPIC" (Marseille);
In the bottom - on the left "WASHINGTON" (Washington) and on the right "E PLURIBUS UNUM" (the motto of the USA - from many - uniform).
Also in the lower part is the year of coinage in the form of a horizontal inscription "2011".

Located on the Olympic peninsula, the national park with the same name is recognized as one of the most interesting nature reserves of the USA. The peninsula belongs to the state of Washington and is washed by waves of the Pacific Ocean near the Canadian island of Vancouver in the north-west of the country. Its territory became protected in 1909, and the status of the national park was received in 1938. In the 80s the park was recognized as a biosphere reserve and part of the World Heritage.

The Olympic Range divides the reserve into two parts. The western part is the ocean coast and tropical rain forest. The eastern region is in the zone of relatively dry climate. Here in amazing harmony there is the nature of the south and the north. On the territory of 3735 square meters. Km are Alpine meadows and fir forests, mountain rivers and fixed lakes, tundra and tropics, glaciers and beaches.

The prolonged isolation of the peninsula from the continental areas led to the formation of a unique fauna and flora on it, where to this day there are 23 endemic (inhabitants of a restricted area). Tourists and biologists are looking to Olympic to watch the wapiti deer, the Olympic marmot, the black bear, the black-tailed deer and other animals of the reserve.

The most attractive part of the park is the humid tropical forest: thickets of fern and fantastic size trees, densely covered with moss, create the impression of fabulous scenery. Civilization does not hurt, and the coastline of the ocean is 117 km long, there is no building here, so the beaches and rocky cliffs retain their authentic beauty.
