Near the edge of the coin a semicircular inscription:
In the upper part - "WHITE MOUNTAIN" (White Mountains);
At the bottom - to the left "NEW HAMPSHIRE" (New Hampshire) and to the right "E PLURIBUS UNUM" (the motto of the USA - from many - one).
Also in the lower part is the year of coinage in the form of a horizontal inscription "2013".

The US National Forest, known as the White Mountains, is part of the reserve in the northeastern state of New Hampshire. The reserve occupies a quarter of the state's area and is part of the famous Apalache.
The most picturesque place in New Hampshire is the White Mountains massif, which was formed more than 100 million years ago due to the movement of tectonic plates and the eruption of magma. One of its ridges is called Presidential, since every summit here has the name of one of the American presidents. The highest point (1917 m) is the summit of Washington.
On the ridge there are trails, huts for travelers, and also motor roads. The most popular route and the most picturesque place of New England is the Kankamagus Highway. It is a path with delightful views, passing through the Kankamagus gorge. The New Hampshire state card is the site of Mount Cannon, similar to the profile of an old man and called "The Old Man on the Mountain."
The reserve has popular ski resorts, in the summer time it organizes walks in the mountains, gorges and caves, bird watching, biking. In the valleys lies the National Forest of White Mountains, rich in magnificent pine trees and lush vegetation. Picturesque landscapes, mighty waterfalls attract many tourists.
