To the right of the door is the emblem of the National Park Service. Near the edge of the coin a semicircular inscription:
In the upper part - "HOT SPRINGS" (hot springs);
In the bottom - "ARKANSAS" (Arkansas) and "E PLURIBUS UNUM" (the motto of the US - of many - a single).
Also in the lower part is the year of coinage in the form of a horizontal inscription "2010".

Hot Springs National Park is a landmark in Arkansas. It is the oldest and smallest park in the US, covering an area of 22.5 sq. M. Km. The name "Hot Springs" translates as "hot springs" - curative water resources are the main feature of the region. Here, about one million liters of hot water are supplied daily from 47 sources daily.

Unlike traditional parks Hot Springs is located on the outskirts of the same town with developed resort infrastructure. As early as 1832, its territory was declared a reserve, and hot springs were built baths. Today the city has many mineralogical clinics, spa complexes and baths for every taste, including those located in luxury buildings of the early twentieth century.

Healing waters flow along the western slope of Mount Hot Springs Mountain. Covered slope tuff rocks saturate the water with useful minerals, which makes it possible to use it for the treatment of rheumatism, deformation of bones and other diseases.

The reserve provides opportunities for traditional tourism: scenic routes along mountain slopes past hot springs, a journey through the Hot Springs mountain, tent camps, observation platforms, animal watching.

The fauna of the park is diverse with species of birds, fish and amphibians, among which spotty salamanders and bullfrogs. Mammals are represented by small species, such as squirrels, rabbits, skunks, caresses, raccoons and others. Magnificent landscapes created by dense forests: on the northern slopes - deciduous, on the southern - mostly pine. Part of the wonderful nature is the cleanest mineral water, which you can drink directly from sources and recruit in special fountains of Hot Springs.
