Above the semicircular name of the issuing country: UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, in the semicircle the value of the coin is written - QUARTER DOLLAR. To the left of the portrait the word LIBERTY (FREEDOM) is minted, on the right in several lines - IN GOD WE TRUST (WE BELIEVE IN GOD) and the letter of the mint.

Reverse: in the central part of the coin field, against the background of the north-eastern slope of Mount Reynolds, there is an image of a mountain goat standing on the rocky slope of the national park. Near the edge of the coin a semicircular inscription:
In the upper part - "GLACIER" (Glacier);
In the bottom - on the left "MONTANA" (Montana) and on the right "E PLURIBUS UNUM" (the motto of the USA - from many - uniform).
Also in the lower part is the year of coinage in the form of a horizontal inscription "2011".

Glacier National Park is famous for its stunning scenery with ancient cliffs, mountain peaks, lakes and waterfalls. It is located in Montana and captures a small area of neighboring Canada. Its main attraction is 37 glaciers, slowly disappearing due to global warming.

The relief of the park was formed by the last glacial period over 12,000 years ago. Of the six mountain peaks, the highest is Mount Cleveland (3190 meters). The reserve is decorated with crystal-clear lakes, the largest of which - McDonald - has a depth of 141 m and is more than 15 km long. About 200 waterfalls are a colorful addition to the majestic scenery.

The ecosystem of the park has remained intact. Coniferous forests, meadows, high mountain tundra have become a comfortable habitat for many animals: moose, wolves, bears (including rare species of grizzly), deer, mountain goats, bison. The symbol of the park is a magnificent "mountaineer" - a snow goat. Birds of 260 species inhabit the Glacier territory, among them a large blue heron, American swan, peregrine falcon, golden eagle.

Almost from the first days of the park's foundation in 1910, the reserve administration began to develop infrastructure with the desire to turn this territory into "American Switzerland". Today the total length of the routes for tourists is 1100 km. The most popular of them, the 80-kilometer "Road to the Sun", ends at an altitude of 2000 meters. Red Rummy tourist buses Red Jammers became a visiting card of the park. Waterways along the sea bay and lakes are available, as well as helicopter flights, which give an opportunity to fully appreciate the magnificent panoramas of the Glacier Reserve.
